Conditions Treated

We utilize the most advanced Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation technology available to provide healing for an extensive range of mental and neurological conditions, without medication, discomfort, or side effects.

TMS Therapy for Depression

TMS is an FDA-approved option for treatment-resistant depression that is non-invasive and drug-free. TMS for Depression focuses on the prefrontal cortex of the brain where people with depression typically have lower activity.

TMS can treat different types of depression such as:

TMS Therapy for Anxiety

Anxiety is a common mood disorder that can affect normal day-to-day life. Anxiety is complex and can act in multiple neural pathways. TMS for Anxiety may be targeted in multiple parts of the brain, depending on what EEG results show.

Anxiety disorders that can be treated by TMS include:

TMS Therapy for ADHD
ADHD is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder that often causes challenges with focusing, attention control, organizational skills, or deadlines. TMS can help people with ADHD have an increased capacity to focus, improved organizational strategies, and greater efficiency in their work and recreation.

TMS for ADHD can be applied for Child ADHDTeen ADHD, and Adult ADHD.

TMS Therapy for Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is a condition where pain continues after the cause of the pain and becomes long-lasting. TMS for Chronic Pain stimulates the specific regions of the brain that govern the pain response. One of the areas of focus may the primary motor cortex to help with pain intensity, fatigue, and cognitive function.

TMS for Chronic Pain can include the treatment of migraines and fibromyalgia

TMS Therapy for OCD
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is a mental illness that can limit an individual’s ability to function normally throughout their life. People with OCD have recurring thoughts or urges that result in repetitive behaviors.  TMS for OCD is an FDA-approved treatment that targets the pre-supplementary motor area of the brain that is associated with hyperactivity in people who have OCD. TMS can be used for Adults with OCD, as well as children and adolescents with OCD
TMS Treatment for Suicidal Ideation

Suicidal ideation or thoughts of suicide can be caused by depression, anxiety, substance abuse, or other mental disorders. People with a family history of mental illness are more likely to have suicidal ideation. TMS for Suicidal Ideation targets regions of the brain known to govern mood and other related functions. TMS can also help resolve the mental illness that usually accompanies suicidal ideation like anxiety, depression, or other mental illness.

TMS Therapy for Autism

Autism is a broad range of psychiatric conditions that include symptoms of difficulties with social skills and interactions, repetitive behaviors, and difficulty with verbal and nonverbal communication. TMS for Autism targets certain areas of the brain to reduce symptoms. The medial prefrontal cortex may be targeted to help the autistic individual understand the mental state of others. TMS can help treat a specific subtype of autism known as Asperger’s Syndrome

TMS Treatment for Dementia

Dementia is a broad term, not a specific disease, used to describe symptoms of decline in memory or thinking that is severe enough to decrease the person’s ability to perform day-to-day tasks. Depending on what disease of dementia you have, TMS can be used to target the regions of the brain that are linked to dementia. TMS for Dementia can be used in patients with Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease. In Alzheimer’s patients, TMS usually targets the left parietal cortex which can help with cognitive function.

TMS Treatment for Insomnia

Insomnia is a sleep disorder that causes difficulty in falling and/or remaining asleep. Insomnia can be debilitating, dangerous, and both emotionally and physically exhausting. People with insomnia often have low energy, difficulty concentrating, and mood disturbances. TMS for Insomnia can help reduce insomnia symptoms by focusing on the brain circuits that help calm the activity in the brain to improve sleep.

TMS Treatment for a stroke

Strokes are a sudden interruption in the blood supply of the brain which can cause numbness, confusion, impaired vision, difficulty walking, and severe headache. TMS for Strokes can help improve language-related difficulties, comprehension, writing, and repetition by focusing on the parts of the brain that may have been impaired. In addition to treating strokes, TMS can help with brain injuries like concussions and other Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs)

TMS Treatment for Tinnitus

Tinnitus is a symptom of an underlying condition that causes the perception of noise or ringing in the ears. These noises can vary in pitch and be experienced in either or both ears. The two types of tinnitus people experience are subjective tinnitus and objective tinnitus. Subjective tinnitus is only heard by the sufferer, while objective tinnitus can be heard by the sufferer and the examiner. TMS for Tinnitus can help reduce this symptom by focusing on the auditory cortex of the brain.

TMS Treatment for Brain Performance Enhancement

Brain performance influences every aspect of our lives and can affect our performance, productivity. and relationships. TMS can help enhance brain performance by stimulating the brain’s nerve cells that can cause increases in the brain’s activity, connectivity, and plasticity. TMS for Brain Performance Enhancement has been used in professional athletes, students, and business professionals.

Debilitating Depression

“After I don’t know how many different medication prescriptions, none of which worked like they should, I tried TMS because I couldn’t continue to live with my depression.  The result has been really miraculous.  I feel so much better, now.  I feel more capable of doing things.  I’m so much happier.  TMS has been a savior to me.”

Anxiety Attacks

“I experienced anxiety attacks since I was a teenager.  I’ve tried anti-anxiety medications, along with all of the other medications that I was taking, but they didn’t help with my panic.  I found myself unable to function – I would completely spiral inside myself, hanging on for my life when the attacks would come.  I had hear about TMS from someone.  I was desperate and didn’t have anything to lose, as nothing was working. Dr. Schneider and Art are both terrific.  They made me feel so comfortable and educated about TMS.  I must say that initially I didn’t feel a big difference.  But I knew that it often takes many sessions for the effects to occur for some people.  I was one of those.  But I cannot be more pleased with the improvement in my attacks.  I feel so much more in control and calm.  I am becoming, who I used to be, when panic and anxiety didn’t rule my life.  I know that it will only continue to improve.  I highly recommend TMS.”

Daughter’s ADHD

“TMS changed our daughter’s life.  She was diagnosed with ADHD in second grade.  We took her to child psychiatrists and tried numerous medications, and therapy, but none of it had any real positive effect, as her symptoms only increased over time, to the point where she was failing in school, and had considerable difficulty with tasks outside of school.  We had heard about TMS and we decided to try it, although we did not have great faith in it.  But we were amazed.  After just a few sessions, we noted improvement in our daughter.  She was able to concentrate on school work, specifically math, for the first time, ever.  She doesn’t need all of the stimuli, anymore, that she used to need (phone, TV, music, computer all on at the same time) just so that she could feel ‘comfortable’.  We are seeing improvements every week, in her behavior, her level of calmness, her interactions.  It is truly amazing.  So far, extremely good.  We are believers in TMS.
